Since the Fall of 2022, I’ve been enrolled in Royal Roads University’s Bachelor of Professional Communication program. My objective with finishing this program is to become as complete a communicator as I possibly can.

I believe that through fusing my journalism experience with professional communication, I would be better equipped to work on large scale communication projects.

Throughout this program I’ve been able to build campaign plans, stakeholder maps, crisis communications plans, data measurement strategies, and a plethora of other projects which will help me navigate around the current communications landscape in practice.

This program has also given me a chance to learn and comprehend insightful theoretical frameworks in communication theory, visual communication, intercultural communication, sustainability communication, public persuasion, multimedia storytelling, and many more concepts.

What’s also very unique about this program is how collaboration and teamwork is at the forefront of most assignments. With every project I was able to work with a variety of either like minded people or those with differing perspectives and that was very useful. It gave me a lot of interpersonal experience and taught me how to work with colleagues from a variety of different perspectives and backgrounds.
