About

Hi,

I am Mohammed Hussain, a multi-media producer committed to storytelling and brand strategy. Throughout my experiences in fields like journalism, video production, and content strategy, I’ve realized storytelling is the common denominator in excelling in those fields.

I believe that a well-crafted story holds the power to bridge the gap between an audience caring or not caring about a given piece of content. With firsthand experience gained as a journalist at credible organizations like CHEK News and CBC, and my formal education in Broadcast and Online Journalism from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, I’ve accumulated a lot of knowledge and insights into how to connect with a mass audience.

In late 2022, I decided to leverage my journalism experience into Professional Communication. My aim is to use my storytelling experience to help organizations spread their authentic voice with their target audiences. By blending my expertise in multimedia production with a deep understanding of storytelling, I hope to be a valuable consultant for businesses seeking to make some noise. My commitment to diversity

As a first generation Iraqi-Canadian, I can empathize with how challenging it is for diverse perspectives to be brought into the spotlight. I was born in Coquitlam, British Columbia yet raised by immigrant parents who grew up with a different set of experiences than the majority of the population.

I got to witness first-hand how to difficult it was for them to fit in, get on their feet, and have different people understand their perspectives.

Living in Canada all my life has given me the unique opportunity to simultaneously understand the culture that surrounds me, and to see the struggle that people like my parents have to go through in order to be understood.

Given that experience, I am committed to continuous learning and empathizing with whomever I run into despite their race, religion, ethnicity, and nationality so that they don’t have to struggle fitting in or being misunderstood the same way my parents did.
